As one of Soongon’s flagship product lines, the AutoBio series of DIW 3D printers specializes in the extrusion-based fabrication of slurries, pastes, and high-viscosity materials. These systems have been widely used in materials research at leading universities and research institutes in China and abroad.

Versatile Material Compatibility: Supports precision printing of dozens of material types, including hydrogels, gelatin, hydroxyapatite, cell suspensions, silicone, ceramic slurries, and polymers. Researchers can validate material formulations using only small sample quantities, making the system well suited to exploratory materials research.

Micron-Level Precision: With a minimum nozzle diameter of 0.1 mm, pressure control resolution of ±1 kPa, and mechanical positioning accuracy of ±10 μm, the system enables high-fidelity fabrication of complex porous scaffolds, biomimetic structures, and other intricate geometries.

Expandable Multimodal Capabilities: Featuring a modular design with standardized expansion interfaces, the system can be equipped with optional modules such as high-temperature and low-temperature printheads, UV curing, coaxial printing, gradient mixing, and electrospinning to accommodate specialized materials and customized experimental requirements.

Research-Grade Data and Process Control: Key parameters, including extrusion pressure, printing speed, and layer thickness, are openly adjustable. Combined with support for custom toolpaths and code, this enables reproducible, quantifiable experiments and provides reliable data to support scientific publications.

Designed to address the R&D challenges associated with powder-based materials such as diamond, metals, and ceramics, Soongon’s independently developed ComproJet series of Binder Jetting (BJ) 3D printers will be a key technology showcased at the diamond symposium.

Unlike BJ systems designed for mass production, the ComproJet series is purpose-built for materials research. Featuring three interchangeable build chambers and a versatile experimental system, it provides comprehensive support for formulation development, process optimization, and prototype validation of high-value advanced materials.

Three Interchangeable Build Chambers to Significantly Reduce R&D Costs for High-Value Materials

The system features three quickly interchangeable build chambers—Micro, Experimental, and Standard—covering the entire materials R&D cycle, from initial formulation screening and process optimization to prototype validation.

Micro Build Chamber (30 × 30 × 30 mm): Specifically designed for early-stage formulation screening and preliminary process evaluation. For example, when printing diamond-copper composites, a single build requires only approximately 47 g of powder—just 2.5% of the amount required by the standard build chamber. This reduces material consumption costs by 97.5%. Even with only a small quantity of precious powder available, researchers can conduct the complete testing process, including powder spreading, binder jetting, and part fabrication, significantly lowering the barrier to experimentation with high-value materials.

Experimental Build Chamber (50 × 50 × 50 mm): Designed for process parameter optimization and stability testing, this chamber allows researchers to conduct multiple comparative experiments to evaluate how different binder ratios, binder deposition volumes, and layer thickness settings affect green part quality. It offers a practical balance between material consumption and specimen size, enabling efficient process development while minimizing material waste.
